Thesis Title: Value-Based Planning for Teams of Agents in Stochastic Partially Observable Environments
About
My main interests lie in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. I am particularly interested in decision making in collaborative multiagent systems (MAS), i.e., in settings in which multiple 'agents' (robots or software agents, or even people) interact.
In the next few years I hope to develop techniques for scalable and flexible MASs in which agents can come and go. Such techniques may enable cost-efficient solutions for many applications (autonomous warehouse management, surveillance with teams of UAVs, intelligent traffic control and collision avoidance) that are robust to failures of individual agents.
